Enable Rate Limiting using Reverse Proxy

Rate limiting is primarily employed to protect the server against DoS, DDoS, and Slowloris attacks. API Rate Limiting is a useful feature as it will limit the number of API calls coming from any application or user in a given time frame. Learn how rate limiting works and how to activate it.

When enabled, it prevents any IP address from making more requests than the rate limit. It sets a restriction on how many queries a certain IP address may send in a given length of time. The miniOrange reverse proxy solution sits in front of the user's servers and receives all the requests and sets the limit for requests for a time period. If the given Rate Limit is crossed then the user will be given an error message- 429: Too Many Requests.
