How to Integrate Active Directory (AD) with miniOrange DLP for User & Group Sync

This guide explains how to integrate Active Directory (AD) with the miniOrange DLP solution for seamless user and group synchronization. By configuring AD, administrators can automate user management, enforce security policies, and maintain compliance by ensuring only authorized personnel access sensitive data. The integration allows real-time syncing of AD users and groups into the DLP dashboard, streamlining policy enforcement and reducing manual user management efforts. This setup enhances security by ensuring consistent access controls across the organization while minimizing administrative overhead.

Prerequisites

There are a couple of things you need to check before you start with the setup:

• You need Administrator access for your DLP dashboard.
• You would require Active Directory configurations from your IT administrator.

Step 1: Steps to configure Website Policy

• Sign in to your DLP dashboard.
  
• On the dashboard, navigate to the right-top corner and click on User Profile > Settings > AD Configurations .




• Then click on the Active Directory Configurations tab.




• Fill in the required AD configuration details (such as server address, port, credentials, etc).
• After entering the details, click on Save.




• Once the AD configuration is successfully saved, you will see an Import from AD button.
• Click on Import from AD button to start syncing users and groups.
• After the import is completed, go to the Email Users section on the dashboard.




• Here, you will see the list of users that were synced from Active Directory.
• You can also view the synced user groups that were imported during the AD synchronization process.
